Ricci was first recognized as a child actor for her performances as Wednesday Addams, and Addams Family Values (both 1993) in The Addams Family and as Kat Harvey, in Casper. Ricci began her transition to roles that were more adult-friendly with The Ice Storm (1997) which was followed by a highly acclaimed appearance on The Opposite of Sex (1998) where she earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. Ricci continued to be successful with well-received performance in Sleepy Hollow (1999) and Monster (2003).
